Spinal Decompression for Herniated and Bulging Disc
If you have been diagnosed with a herniated or bulging disc that is confirmed with an MRI you may have been recommended to have spine surgery. While surgery is a frightening thought for people, there may be options for your specific circumstance to help you avoid surgery.
For many, conservative Spinal Decompression Therapy offers hope and real results. With our experience and guidance we help many people avoid surgery and get their life back. Treatment is comfortable and gentle and is computer controlled.
People with herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, sciatica, spondylosis, spinal stenosis, and facet syndrome are likely to respond to non surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy.

Herniated & Bulging Disc
"...The MRI pinpointed exactly the location of my ruptured and herniated disk and how bad my vertebrae were deteriorating. Dr. Coleman immediately reviewed the MRI films, started an aggressive but systematic number of treatments that quickly improved my back pain, my mobility and my future health. Without Dr. Coleman’s serious approach to chiropractic and persistence with my orthopedic surgeon, I would not be pain free, walking comfortably and handling my business career." Robert Seitz

"Words cannot express the relief I had
from that very first adjustment"
You are probably reading this because you don’t know much about Chiropractic and don’t know what to expect. I once was in your shoes and would like to ease your mind.
Less than a week before I was scheduled to have major back surgery for a herniated disc in my lower back, I came into Dr. Coleman’s office. I was experiencing severe pain and numbness in my back and legs.More painful than my physical symptoms was the crippling emotional grip of “not being well” had on my life. My husband’s 30th birthday was to be the day after my surgery, and my daughter’s 2nd birthday was to be just weeks past that. My neurosurgeon said that although surgery would relieve my immediate pain, it wouldn’t cure me 100%. He said I would always have a bad back, and because of it I would have to alter my lifestyle. He also mentioned that scar tissue from surgery could cause new problems. So there I was, unhappy, in pain, and very confused.
I had heard of chiropractors before, and not all the stories had been good ones.I was very skeptical however, I was eager to find a better alternative. My medical doctor’s office very reluctantly referred me to see Dr. Coleman. Dr. Coleman completely sensed not only my physical pain but the emotional turmoil it was causing me.He gave me my first adjustment that day and then subsequent adjustments for the next three days.
Words cannot express the relief I had from that very first adjustment, and it’s only gotten better since! I cancelled my surgery after only my 3rd adjustment! In fact I went to a party on the night I should have been in the hospital and told everyone about chiropractic! My husband’s and daughter’s birthdays were pain free days filled with nothing but happy-loving emotions. Everything in life happens for a reason. We may not always know the reasons, but we can try to interpret them. Here’s my interpretation of my experience. If we only focus on the symptoms our bodies communicate to us, then we’ll forget about a greater need: taking care of ourselves.
Dr. Coleman always tells me “our spines are like garden hoses”. Life force flows through the spine and nerves like water through a hose to give life to your garden. Change the flow of life to vital body parts with one kink (subluxation) in the spine and you diminish the ability for your body to express of life and health.”I plan to keep my spine well adjusted with chiropractic to directly affect the quality of my life. How about you?

“I Avoided Back Surgery!”
I began seeing Dr. Coleman in May of 2002 after herniating my L5 disc. After sending my to receive 3 steroid injections, my family physician suggested that my only other choice would be to have back surgery. As Dr. C. says, my “innate” did not speak those words to me so I opted to try chiropractic.
I believe I was sent to Dr. C. by Divine intervention because I had previously scheduled an appointment with someone else for later the same day and ended up canceling and coming to Coleman Chiropractic Center. There is so much to my story that it cannot be told in a few words or a few minutes. However, the most significant part of my testimony is that through a lot of dedicated time and genuine concern from Dr. C. along with my own determination and perseverance, here I am today doing just fine without having any surgery!! And, I recently attended an exercise boot camp! Who would have thought!?
