"The 7 Questions You Must Ask To Find The Right Chiropractor" leaves.JPG

Finding and working with the right chiropractor can help you feel like a kid again. With many chiropractors to choose from, how do you find the one that’s right for you?

While we have a proven track record and are confident in our services experience, we realize may not the right choice for everyone. The following information should be used as your guide to find the right chiropractor for yourself.

Ask questions, and ask them often. Asking the right questions up front will maximize the likelihood of a good match and pay dividends in your health. Nothing is worse than making quick decisions only later to find out that your not happy and having to start over.

If you have any questions, please call us.  Dr. Coleman and our staff will be happy to speak with you on the phone even before you schedule an appointment.

#1 How many years has the doctor been in practice?
Dr. Coleman has been helping people for over 20 years. He has been in private practice since 1989.

#2 How long does the doctor spend with a patient?
On a routine office visit the time spent varies widely depending on the individual patient. Generally most people are in our office between 15 and 45 minutes. The majority of our patients say that Dr. Coleman spends more time with them than other doctors do. Because Dr. Coleman is a sports chiropractor, he often is working on muscles, joints, and connective tissue like ligaments and tendons in addition to making “adjustments” to joints”. This type of work generally takes more time. Many of our patients however, do not require this more extensive attention, which takes less time.

#3 If I have questions, will the doctor speak to me on the phone prior to setting an appointment?
Yes. Our policy is to offer exceptional service. This includes making sure the doctor is available to speak with patients on the phone and by email. For 20 years, new and existing patients have had access to Dr. Coleman for support on the phone. Every patient is given Dr. Coleman’s cell phone number, which is printed on his business card.  Have a question for the doctor? Call us. If he is tied up, he WILL call you back promptly. Dr. Coleman’s cell phone number is 970-690-6665. The main office phone is 970-493-3100. Email Dr. Coleman at DrGil@wc4ss.com

#4 What is the philosophy of the doctor and his staff?
Our philosophy is, as author Stephen Covey says, to “begin with the end in mind”. Our intention is to build long-term relationships with people in our community so that, on your terms, you can lean on us with confidence when you need us. Because a blended approach works best, 3 unique disciplines are offered under one roof in our office. These include: Chiropractic, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. Within each discipline, we offer a diversified menu of services that is customized for each patient to accomplish their goals and objectives.

#5 Is the doctor diverse in their thinking and is this demonstrated in the variety services and techniques offered?  Does the doctor adapt to what YOU need or, does the patient adapt to the doctor?
This may seem like a strange question but from our perspective, it is a vitally important question to ask. Because some offices focus only on one or two chiropractic “techniques or methods” most patients receive similar type of treatment. In our opinion, this may result in the doctor not being equipped to effectively adapt to individual patient needs. The adage “one size fit’s all” does not work in modern healthcare.

#6 Is there anything unique about the doctor and his practice?
Our office is unique because we offer a suite of services that combine Chiropractic, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. We call it CPR. Within each of these disciplines, we offer a variety of services that are specifically used to facilitate healing and patient response.
